T-Rex Events (from spelling T-REX by hitting the Truck) and Control Room modes can be valuable. Start them right before starting a MB.
To maximize value earned during TREX MB, shoot for the red arrow (e.g., spell CHAOS sequentially); Double JPs for each red arrow in order.
Standard Skill Shot:
Full Plunge > TRex Ramp > Pteranodon Ramp > Tower Side Ramp
Extra Balls can be lit by rescuing 6 staff members and by capturing the T-Rex in the T-Rex Paddock. Collect them on the right ramp.
Spell CHAOS in order to light Chaos multiball at the standup behind the pop bumpers.
MXV Skill Shot (named after Stern employee Mike Vinikour):
Full Plunge > TRex Ramp > Pteranodon Ramp > Left Orbit -> Tower Side Ramp
Keep shooting the raptor cage/gate to eventually start a 3-ball multiball. While in MB, hit both ramps, then all CHAOS letters to add another 3 balls and light super jackpots.

TREX MB: first shoot all the yellow arrows quickly, then TREX.
